Black Histories Edit-A-Thon – Edit-a-thon + Wikipedia and Wikidata Training

February 15 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Join the Black Histories Edit-a-thon for a series of free, online events throughout Black History Month! No experience necessary! You can learn the basics or get a refresher on editing Wikipedia and Wikidata, then edit alongside others who are passionate about improving digital coverage of Black histories and experiences. You can also join the event and edit at your own pace throughout the month.

Edit-a-thon + Wikipedia and Wikidata Training:

Come for community, and learn to edit if you’re new! Optional training is offered at the start of the session for Wikipedia (12 to 2 pm) and half-way through for Wikidata (2 to 4 pm). Never edited before? No problem — all are welcome. Drop in and out anytime.

This event is a joint effort by library and archives staff and students at the University of Toronto, Toronto Metropolitan University, Toronto Public Library, and York University.

Registration required.
