Black Excellence: Mental Health & Kiki Ballroom

February 25 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Supporting mental health through community activism and care is an important part of the Kiki Ballroom scene. Mental health issues, addictions, and physical wellness are all compounded by intersections of race, sexuality and gender. Join Cookie 007, Mother Tamar Loubiton and Paris Loubiton to learn about how Kiki Ballroom serves as a mechanism for health.

An audience Q&A will be hosted after the discussion. If you have questions in advance for the panel, please submit to diversityandequity.kpe@utoronto.ca.

Registration is required.

This session will be hosted on BlackBoard Collaborate – an online webinar hosting suite that requires no additional downloads or apps. The link to access the session will be emailed to you the day before.

If you require accommodation(s) in order to participate, please e-mail diversityandequity.kpe@utoronto.ca to inquire about making appropriate arrangements.
