Confronting Anti-Asian Racism: Tools, Strategies and Discussions

This workshop was open to students, staff, faculty, librarians at the University of Toronto.

Workshop participants explored the various manifestations of anti-Asian racism and deepened their understanding of how anti-Asian racism manifests with other forms of discrimination. Furthermore, participants discussed strategies to identify and address anti-Asian racism in post-secondary environments and learned about the role of mental health supports.

The workshop was facilitated by Maria Lo, Training Coordinator for the Hong Fook Mental Health Association (picture below). This workshop was not recorded. 


Healing Through Art

May 17 and 19, 2022

This space was open to students, staff, faculty, librarians who identify as members of Asian community and allies.

Attendees engaged in a facilitated space of virtual art-based activities, in navigating and reflecting on the feelings, thoughts and emotions during challenging times. This virtual restorative space was facilitated by Phuong Nguyen, Certified Art Therapist and Registered Psychotherapist (picture below). This session was not recorded.
