Mandate of the Anti-Racism & Cultural Diversity Office

The Anti-Racism & Cultural Diversity Office (ARCDO) works in collaboration with other equity offices and partners (including students, faculty and staff) to promote a University campus that is free of discrimination and harassment based on race, ancestry, place of origin, colour, ethnic origin, citizenship and/or creed (faith) and as they intersect with other social identities.

Purpose of the Committee

The Anti-Racism & Cultural Diversity Advisory Committee assists the ARCDO in its goal to increase the effectiveness of services and programs offered to the University community in its effort to advance and embed antiracism and matters related culture diversity and creed (faith). The purpose of the Committee is to provide a breadth of knowledge and expertise related to antiracism, cultural diversity and creed that will assist the ARCDO in broadening and strengthening its work and impact across the tri-campus University community; provide a forum for discussion of systemic issues related to antiracism, cultural diversity and creed within the University community; provide feedback on the impact of policies and programs in relation to these matters; and to ensure engagement with key stakeholder communities.
