Dr. Lisa Coleman, Senior VP for Global Inclusion and Strategic Innovation and Chief Diversity Officer, New York University  Dr. Coleman has served as the Chief Diversity Officer and Special Assistant to the President at Harvard University from 2010 – 2017. Prior to Harvard, Dr. Coleman had worked in a similar capacity at Tufts University from 2007 to 2010. Prior to becoming Tufts’ first senior diversity officer, she directed the Africana Studies Program and taught in American Studies, English, and Women’s Studies.

Dr. Shaheen Azmi, Director of Policy, Education, Monitoring, and Outreach of the Ontario Human Rights Commission  Dr. Azmi previously held positions as Senior Policy Analyst and Manager of the Mediation Office for the Commission. In his policy work he helped research and draft the Commission’s Policy and Guidelines on Racism and Racial Discrimination released in June 2005, which was the first such human rights policy in Canada.

Rabbi Julia Appel  Rabbi Julia Appel has served as the Senior Jewish Educator and Campus Rabbi at Hillel at the University of Toronto since 2016. Rabbi Appel is on the Executive Team of the Toronto Board of Rabbis and is a regular contributor to the Canadian Jewish News. She has studied contemporary antisemitism and trained in diversity and inclusion, focusing on progressive methods and “calling in” to combat antisemitism.
